Branching Out and Working on the Journey Ahead
In 2007 Pastor Randy sensed God leading Liberty Baptist Church
to continue the "journey vision" that began with "Discovering
the Journey" in 2004. This vision was to find God's direction
for Liberty; and we did!
The following year in 2005, our vision continued with "The
Journey of Transformation". God said we must live transformed
Christian lives; it is not sufficient to practice "churchianity",
we must be authentic Christians.
2006 provided the Liberty family abundant opportunities to "Live
out Christ in the Community" as we continued God's vision
by leaving our comfort zone and branching outside the walls of
our church facility to embark upon a consistent ministry plan
to extend Christian life into the community.
This year in 2007, God is leading Liberty to continue the "journey"
vision to "Work on the Journey Ahead." God is saying
that we must leave the great ministry of yesterday behind and
begin our future ministry today. Luke 9:62 says, "But Jesus
said to him, 'No one, after putting his hand to the plow, and
looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.'" (NASB). God
desires the Liberty Family to look ahead and work hard for the
kingdom. There will be harvest but we must first plow new ground!
God is already at work. We simply join God in what He is doing.
God is scattering the members of Liberty for accomplish a divine
purpose. God’s purpose is reach larger number of people for the
Kingdom of God. In the Book of Acts, God scattered Christians
and led them to witness in new communities. New church congregations
were formed by scattered Christians and new converts. God is doing
the same with Liberty! We must plow new ground and reach new people
in new areas in order to see new harvest.
Liberty is branching out by birthing two new Liberty Churches;
one in Coweta County and the second in Pike County! Liberty Coweta
began meeting for Bible Study on Tuesday, August 21st, with approximately
13 families in attendance. Liberty Coweta's organization and implementation
of leadership has taken place and a great harvest is anticipated
as a result of the hard work that is taking place. God has used
Liberty to bless many families in Fayette County, and we believe
God desires to bless many families of Coweta County through Liberty.
We are excited to be a part of Coweta.
None of us know all that God has planned for our future but we
can be certain that our future is brighter than our past. We must
work hard for the Kingdom. We must face forward and not cling
to the past. We must trust God and He will give us harvest in
great measure. Great harvest is coming but we must work hard in
the days ahead. It is no surprise that God wills us to reach new
people with the same kind of Christianity (New Testament Christianity)
that is demonstrated by the Liberty Fayette family. Our God is
faithful! To God be the glory!
